The type of mobile technology that NMA recommends to a merchant is dependent upon the mobile device owned or sought by the merchant, and the necessary hardware.  Our focus is to mitigate the cost of mobile payments as much as possible.   In the past, merchants purchased or leased expensive mobile credit card processing machines that required an expensive data plan and had inconsistent coverage.  With the rise in popularity of smart phones, laptops, and tablets, secure mobile payment processing is available inexpensively and can be performed from virtually anywhere with little additional expense.

• Frequency of mobile payments.  How often do you need to perform mobile payment processing.
• What is your mobile point of purchase?  Are you travelling to craft shows where you are sitting at a table with a laptop, or are you performing a service and taking payments from multiple people in multiple locations each day?
