The Standard Restaurant application for the Hypercom ICE terminal is designed to process credit, debit, and EBT transactions. Software features include tip processing, tip calculator, open/close tab, account truncation, shift processing and CVV2. Hardware features include an integrated thermal printer, an integrated PIN pad, a FastPOS 9600 bps modem, a large touch screen display and the capability to support a traditional attached PIN pad. Note: The Proprietary Restaurant application is the preferred application as it offers many more features than the Standard application. Proprietary does not support Tip Calculator, a feature that prints three pre-determined tip percentages on the customer's receipt. If merchants require this feature, use the Standard Restaurant ICE application. Otherwise, the Proprietary application is recommended. In addition, ICE 5000 terminals with only 1MB RAM require the Standard application.
